Horizon Forbidden West Signal Lenses Locations And Rewards

Exploring the initial region of The Daunt in Horizon Forbidden West offers players a variety of engaging side activities and collectibles to discover. Among these items are the six Signal Lenses, which are historic Carja relics left atop crumbling watchtowers across the valley. Collecting these items provides extra story lore regarding the past conflict between factions and awards Aloy with valuable crafting resources.
Starting the Quest and Finding Watchtowers
Players can initiate the tracking of these relics by starting the Signals of the Sun errand quest north of Barren Light. During this mission, Aloy encounters an Oseram named Raynah who is searching for the lost lenses designed by her father. Each lens sits atop a high Carja Signal Tower scattered around the mountains of The Daunt. Scaling these structures typically requires solving minor traversal puzzles and using the Pullcaster to clear obstacles.
All Six Signal Lens Locations in The Daunt
The six collectibles consist of the Lens of Dawn, Morning, Midday, Afternoon, Twilight, and Evening. The Lens of Dawn is situated on a cliff tower in the far northeast section of the region. Moving along the eastern ridge, players can scale separate towers to retrieve the Lens of Morning and the Lens of Midday.
To reach the Lens of Afternoon, players will need to begin a related side quest to gain access to the refugee-held tower area. The Lens of Twilight sits atop a tower near a small settlement on the western side of the map. Finally, the Lens of Evening is located right where Aloy first rescues Raynah during the initial errand encounter.
Rewards for Returning the Signal Lenses
Once players collect all six relics, they can turn them in to Raynah at her camp near Barren Light. Returning individual lenses yields a steady payout of Metal Shards and rare crafting materials. Completing the entire set grants a special bonus, including the exclusive Dune Shadow dye for Aloy's armor outfits.
In addition to cosmetic options, players receive extra Metal Shards, Bronze Ingots, and Greenshine Slivers used for upgrading weapons and equipment. Tracking down every tower early on is an effective strategy to bolster Aloy's inventory before venturing deeper into the Forbidden West.
